I suffer from chronic headaches. Can Dr. Bausch help?

Oftentimes, chronic headaches are caused by problems with the temporomandibular joints, or TMJ for short. Dysfunction of these joints can cause a host of problems, including headaches – even migraines. If Dr. Bausch determines that your discomfort is TMJ related, he may recommend treatment with an FDA-approved NTI-tss oral appliance. This small, comfortable, custom-fitted nightguard encourages proper jaw alignment and eases stressed muscles and joints to eliminate headaches and other problems caused by the TMJ joints. We encourage you to schedule an appointment today.

I want to straighten my front teeth without wearing braces. Is this possible?

Depending on your unique situation, Dr. Bausch may recommend porcelain veneers or cosmetic bonding. Veneers can change the size and shape of teeth to close gaps. Alternatively, cosmetic bonding to reshape your front teeth may do the trick. Schedule a cosmetic dentistry consultation to learn more.

Who makes a good candidate for dental implants?

Almost anyone who wants to replace missing teeth or stabilize a loose dental prosthetic makes a good candidate. Ideal candidates have good oral and overall health. Jawbone mass adequate to support implants is also needed. Certain lifestyle choices, such as smoking, and chronic conditions like diabetes, slow healing and may impede the implant process. Should I be worried about my mercury fillings?

The American Dental Association has said that the mercury level in traditional amalgam fillings is safe. However, at Mile High Smiles, we practice conservative dentistry and choose to take no chances with your health. We provide tooth-colored fillings made of composite resins. As durable and long lasting as amalgam, tooth-colored fillings have the added benefit of preserving an all-white smile. If you have amalgam fillings that are in need of replacement, or you prefer to replace the dark metal fillings in your teeth with a more natural-looking alternative, ask us about tooth-colored fillings at your next visit.
